The latter can only be discussed when it is known what information can ensure the efficiency of business process implementation, which is impossible due to constant changes in the business environment (here we are talking about the rules that determine the collection, processing and storage of data).

Structural business units are able to independently resolve issues among themselves concerning the implementation of business processes.

As an example, let's take the business owner data package interacting departments responsible for production and purchasing. The latter received a request from the former to purchase certain parts within one month. However, this task will take at least two months to complete, since we are talking about imported products, and the delivery dates are determined by the foreign partner. In addition, the resources of the purchasing department are limited, and requests from other departments are considered and executed in a certain order.

We are witnessing a conflict situation in which no one is to blame. Such problems could be avoided by having a signed SLA (Service Level Agreement) – a document describing the parameters of the services provided, which is part of the BA.

After the decision has been made to design the company's BA and hire specialists with the necessary competencies, the authorized manager must take the following steps:

Creating the role of business architect.

It is important to understand the difference between the roles of a business analyst and a business architect, which perform different functions. The former assists the latter by conducting interviews, creating documentation, creating concepts and adopting. His responsibilities include studying, designing and monitoring the implementation of the BA.

Limiting the powers of the company's management with their transfer to the business architect in the part affecting the design and implementation of the business plan. Separation of legislative and executive powers is necessary. The business architect is a representative of the former, forming the relevant acts and approving them personally or as part of the architectural committee with the participation of top managers and founders (by agreement). The heads of departments that must implement the approved models must implement the plans.

Formalization of services and interfaces for communication between business units. It is necessary to determine who, to whom, when, what and in what volumes is obliged to provide.

Formalization of BA and change management.

The business architect's job is to create a comprehensive and accessible description of the business model and have it approved by the architectural committee. All subsequent changes to it should be centralized.
