Welcome to Dubai! First impressions of the new Bitrix24

Most of you already know, but it's worth giving some context for those who are just arriving: last week, Filipe Bento was in Russia. When he visited the Bitrix24 headquarters in Kaliningrad, he was able to get even closer to product owners, developers and the CEO. In addition, he was the first Brazilian to speak at the platform's global convention, which is taking place in Moscow.
All this experience also helped me get first-hand the latest news about Bitrix24 Dubai, the new version that will be launched in May. Of course, due to the size of the event and the importance of the information shared there, anyone who participates is under a strong embargo, so what you read below are just my first impressions.

They are supported by more than 500 data centers in different parts of the world and in 18 different language localizations. The development of the service is proceeding at a rapid pace and the only drawback is the heavy burden on the development company. Thus, technical support is carried out by more than 60 people in 8 different languages. Unfortunately, free chat support in such conditions had to be disabled. After a brief statistical excursion, Sergey Ryikov and Dmitriy Suslov started a massive public art fire with the new features of Bitrix24. The traditional intrigue with the name of the version could not be preserved. The hot and functional Dubai came to replace Sydney.
Mobile App
The mobile app update was presented first. In fact, its presence has always given Bitrix24 a head start over products that do not have apps. But the last presentation has given us an idea that mobile technologies will determine the vector of product development due to convenience and accessibility for use. So, what's new?
Invite employees via SMS. This is a very quick way to register a portal user without even having to ask for their email address. It saves time, reduces the possibility of errors and is generally very convenient.
Updated mobile task lists. Now they will be more convenient to use when using gadgets. In addition, when creating a mobile task, users themselves can now specify which fields should be displayed in mobile tasks and which fields are not needed.
Main tool selection in mobile tasks. Now the system will tell you what functionality you will need in your business to achieve maximum success.
Updated task checklist. Now it's not just a set of checkboxes : you can support employees and upload images for them! In addition, a task can now have multiple checklists, which can be managed separately.

But the function can be useful not only for beginners – even experienced users, unexpectedly for themselves, will be able to learn something new.
Humor. More than 40 themes and backgrounds to create positive emotions for the user portal appear in the new version.
The “New Profile” will really help to emphasize the individuality of the employee. Now a person’s profile can be called up practically from anywhere in the portal and quickly view personal data and schedule (with administrator permission) in one window.
Employees will be able to find like-minded colleagues by identifying common interests. All badges, awards and bonuses are added to the updated profile.
Working time is one of the first functional features implemented in Bitrix24. The new version offers 4 scenarios of working time distribution:
Shift work. You can set up to 6 shifts in one day. Individually adjusted where, how and when a person starts and finishes work. Position coordinates are also taken into account if you track time from a mobile device.
Hourly scenario. It is ideal for contractors.
Fixed schedule. This is what we have now.
Mixed version.
Now work schedules are integrated with documents that can be printed or exchanged electronically. It is possible to start and end a job in any scenario using the employee's face scanner.
Bitrix24. The calendar has also been significantly improved for easy reference and planning.
Bitrix24.Disk. More and more terabytes are being uploaded to Bitrix24 virtual disks every day. Therefore, the developers have changed some algorithms, in particular – content preview. This allows you to preview documents in different formats. And content search is performed not only by the header, but also by the file content.
