Select compatible campaign and ad group options
Every campaign objective in Ads Manager supports ads on Instagram Reels. However, some ad group-level settings are not compatible with this placement. For example, it doesn't apply to phone call laos b2b leads conversion locations or ad interactions.

You can first confirm that your ads will show on Instagram Reels by selecting all relevant campaign and ad group settings. Then at the ad group level, select "Manual placements" to confirm that ad placements on Instagram Reels are enabled.
At the ad level, upload creatives. I recommend using the workflow we described above to select separate creatives for each set of placements. This way, you'll have fewer separate edits to make later.
If you choose to upload video assets for all placements, you'll notice that the creative displays correctly everywhere except for ad placements on Instagram Reels. Video assets are not supported for this placement, so click the pencil icon to edit them individually.

Then select relevant images to upload and use Ads Manager's built-in cropping tools if needed. Note that ads appear square on Instagram reels, so it's best to manually crop creatives to this aspect ratio.

Also note that ads on both Instagram and Facebook Reels look small and are usually located at the bottom of the screen. To make this placement work for your business, use eye-catching images, but keep in mind that busy graphics and text overlays can be difficult to read.
