The pharmaceutical sector moves 13 billion euros annually, of which 4.3 billion correspond to “parapharmacy” products. This segment is completely legal and has enormous potential. According to David Masó (CEO of promofarma com), in 2014 the estimated volume of online sales of parapharmacy reached 50 million euros in Spain. In other more advanced countries such as Germany, online sales reach 400 million euros and in the USA more than 4 billion dollars. The pharmaceutical sector is seen as one of the online channels with the greatest potential for growth in 2015.
In Spain, 13 billion euros are moved annually, of which 4.3 billion correspond to “parapharmacy” products. The natural growth of this online segment will lead to a turnover of more than 500 million euros in the online channel in the coming years.
